I can talk a lot about my adventure there...

Hello everyone,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing this email since I want to share with you some moments of my experience in Romania where I was a participant at Erasmus+ youth exchange project.

Let us start with some basic information about the project. It took place, as I said, in Romania and more precisely in Costinesti which is a summer resort there. I spent some time there from 1stto 11th of April and the topic was ‘Jobs Challenge’. I decided to take part in this project because I found its topic really useful for me and my future career path.

I am glad that I had this opportunity – the opportunity to be surrounded by amazing people from four other countries – Romania, Turkey, Poland, and Italy, learning how to write my CV and cover letters in the best way possible. I even created a LinkedIn account and at first, I thought that I would not use it but now I check it as often as my Instagram account.

I really enjoyed taking part in all our activities organised by our lovely facilitator, Ioana, who really did her best to engage us with them. I can divide our sessions into three groups – building a team, enhancing our competences in finding a perfect job for us and boosting our creativity. Our job challenge finished with a job interview simulation game, and it was more serious than I expected. On the last day, the one before departure, we had to film a short video showing some of the issues in terms of finding a job. All groups did their best and we all deserved to win an award at our Oscar night. We even went to Constanta and had some free time there. Me and my group decided to go on a dolphin show and it was amazing.

One more thing should be mentioned since it made my experience there even more unforgettable. What I mean are our cultural evenings. During the cultural evenings we had the chance to explore other cultures and at the end of the day find that we are not that different, and all nations should stay united.

I can talk a lot about my adventure there but what I really want to share now is a piece of advice. All of you should try this type of experience at least once. You should go and check all the opportunities that the EU offers to you via Erasmus+ programme. There are a lot of options, and I am sure that all of you will find the perfect one for you.

Enjoy being an active EU citizen.

Best regards,

Viktoria [BG]
